VINCENT FANTAUZZO
Born in 1977 in the United Kingdom and raised in Melbourne, Australia, Vincent Fantauzzo is a world-renowned multi-award winning artist. He completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting, a Master’s in Fine Arts, and was appointed Adjunct Professor at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) in 2012. Represented in private collections and institutions including the Art Gallery of New South Wales, National Portrait Gallery, and Parliament House in Canberra, Fantauzzo is one of Australia’s most celebrated artists.
He has won the Archibald People’s Choice Award more times than any other artist, receiving the Prize four times, and in 2011, his portrait of Matt Moran won the Archibald Packing Room Prize.
Fantauzzo combines technical mastery and his ability to connect with people to create works capturing the essence of each subject. His portraits include Heath Ledger, former Prime Minister Julia Gillard AC, Oscar Piastri, and Indigenous artist George Tjungarrai. His use of light, shadow, and hyperrealistic style has established him as one of Australia’s most acclaimed artists.
